E-bike batteries are proprietary to the drive system, not the frame, so a Bosch pack will never power a Shimano motor and a smart-system Bosch pack will not run in an older Bosch bike. Start from your drive unit (Bosch, Shimano STEPS, Yamaha, Brose or Bafang) or from your charge-port connector, and get the exact battery, charger and adapter that fits, whether it is a drop-in replacement or needs a specific mount, plus the compatibility traps that catch people out.

A battery is a load-bearing, high-current part: confirm the exact model number printed on your own pack and the drive-unit generation on your motor before buying, because packs that look identical (for example the two Shimano 630 Wh batteries, or Bosch smart-system versus eBike System 2) can have zero cross-compatibility.
