The Bosch smart system (BES3) is a clean break from eBike System 2. None of the parts interchange: a BES3 battery will not run in a BES2 bike and a BES2 pack will not run in a smart-system bike, even where the pack looks identical. Confirm the system on the display and the battery model number before buying.
It charges through the Bosch smart-system round charge port using the Bosch Standard Charger 4A (smart system).
