The BT-E8016 is Shimano's largest external pack at 630 Wh. Upgrading from a 504 Wh BT-E8010 needs the new BM-E8016 reinforced mount, because the larger pack will not sit safely in the older BM-E8010 holder.
It charges through the Higo / Julet charge and signal connector.
