The Fit My E-bike community hub

Beyond the fitment tool, a sourced reference library for e-bike riders: who makes the motors, what the law says where you ride, and how to get the most from your battery.

What is in the community hub

The Fit My E-bike tool answers one question precisely: which battery, charger and parts fit your drive system. This community hub adds the wider context around that answer, so you understand the bike, not just the part number.

Browse the drive-system makers to understand the motor on your bike, the law guides to check your bike is road-legal where you ride, and the battery and charging guides to get the most range and life out of your pack. Every page cites its sources.

Makers, law and batteries

The makers section covers Bosch, Shimano, Yamaha, Brose, Bafang, Fazua and Mahle, one page each, with their published drive units and torque. The law section covers the UK EAPC rules, the EU pedelec and L1e-B categories and the US three-class system, each cited to statute or government guidance. The battery section covers range, care, charging and connector standards.

Together these answer the questions that come up around a purchase but sit outside the fitment tool itself: is this bike legal, which motor does it have, and how do I keep the battery healthy.

From reference back to the tool

Every hub page ends by pointing back to the fitment tool, because the reference and the tool are two halves of one job. Once you know your motor maker and understand your battery, the tool finds the exact pack, charger and adapter that fits, whether it is a drop-in replacement or needs a specific mount.
